- Great vendor, meh scope (review by Bruce on 3/11/2015)
I'll start by saying the CenterfireGuns is my new favorite online gun store. Their prices are better than Bud's and they DO NOT make you wait a week for your your e-check to clear (this takes WalMart about 13 seconds!) AND they do not play the cash price vs card price game. Now, for the scope. I didn't expect much for the price, but I was still disappointed. What looks like a focus adjustment is actually the wheel that controls the colors and brightness, so no focus. A call to AIM told me that a first focal plane scope doesn't need a focus (huh?). The scope came with scope rings, but the wrong size rings. The scope tube is 30mm and the included rings were 1". Luckily, I had a set of 30mm rings that I didn't use on another project. It looks kinda "cool" on and I can see through it, but I haven't got a ton of confidence that I'll be pleasantly surprised after using it for a while. The mudflaps are nice....
