Excellent Gun
I placed the order for the Bergara 300 Timber on a Thursday and CenterfireGuns had it in my hands on the very next day - Awesome. As far as the 300-Timber, I mounted a Vortex Viper 6.5x20x44 scope and have put around 40-rounds of Barnes Vortex 180 grain ammo thru it thus far. After following the detailed initial breaking in recommendations in the owners manual the only thing I have to say thus far is WOW! The bolt-action is tight (no side-to-side rattling), yet smooth on the in and out cycling of rounds thru the chamber. So far I have tweaked the Timber out to 300-yards and am hitting at quarter inch and less groupings. To say I am an "average" shooter is a stretch since my experience greater than 150 yards in a hunt or target environment is limited, but after just two trips to the range I am confident this was a wise investment and with additional practice will set me up nicely for a planned Idaho Elk Hunt in October 2016.
