Rebates, Rebates, Rebates

It’s been a slow year for gun sales. According to an August 2014 article in Business Week magazine, Smith and Wesson sales are down 23% this year. Ruger sales are down 13%. The articles gives a simple reason why: there’s too much supply and not enough demand.

Due to the tragedy in Newton and the threat of new gun control legislation, gun sales in 2013 were through the roof. Our inventory was depleted quickly in January and February of 2013 and it took nearly a year for the manufacturers to catch up with the backlog. That’s a good problem to have.

So what about the rebates?

But that was then and this is now. Now manufacturers are overloaded with inventory that’s not moving. Dealers and distributors are not buying as they have too much inventory as well. End of year is coming up and taxes will have to be paid on inventory held over until 2015. So what to do if you are manufacturer and you need to move product?

You do two things: One, you lower prices. Two, you offer rebates. Prices have been slowly decreasing (except for .22 ammo of course), and boy are there rebates to be had. Nearly every manufacturer is offering some sort of rebate, from cash back to free accessories. We’ve never seen so many rebates offered at any one time.

Luckily, we’re here to help. We’ve done the hard work and put every rebate available on our Rebates page. We’ve sorted them by manufacturer from A to Z. After you place a purchase on our website, be sure to visit the rebate page to see if there’s a rebate for the products you just purchased!
