- Great Pistol (review by Bill on 3/14/2016)
I have run some rounds through the TP9SA and had no problems at all, seems to be a good quality pistol at a great price. I have seen on Youtube that there are people out there that don't like the fact that this pistol has a decocker. I like this feature. I can decock the pistol and know it will not fire and just have to rack the slide a 1/4 of an inch to put it back in operation, no big deal. Great trigger, not mushy and great reset. The only flaw I can find is that the rear sight has no adjustment for elevation. I found the pistol to shoot a little low but grouped well, maybe that's just me and I can compensate or get another sight. Overall a great deal I'm not disappointed at all, especially with all the extras you get in this package.
- Great pistol for the money (review by Bill on 2/1/2016)
Expert craftsmanship. I have a Glock 19 with match grade barrel and guns are pretty close. The Glock rear sight allows for quicker site acquisition, but otherwise a fine gun. Fully loaded the Csnik is 6 ounces heavier than the Glock with 15 rd mag loaded. Also the barrel of the Canik is about 1/2" longer than the Glock 19. The Canik is more like the Glock17. The grip with the thumb intention feels superb.
Yes, it fits my Glock 19 holster just fine. I find the enclosed holster weak. A nice gesture but you'll probably want to spend money on a better one. i almost considered 4 stars but the gun is so darn good. The Mecgar mags are top notch.
I certainly hope some after market features come on line soon. On one YouTube review they complained that the front site didn't have the white dot. Mine came with one. Maybe a fluke?
I've spent two days on the range and run 300-400 reloads through and have had ZERO misfires.
I couldn't believe how fast this shipped. Great job, guys. Up until now I was unfamiliar with this website. I'm sure I'll be back.
- Two Thumbs Way Up! (review by CWO3 on 2/14/2015)
Hats off to Canik on this gun! Like other reviews have said this gun is extremely undervalued. I would go as far to say it can compete with other guns valued 2-3 times the price. I have 500 rounds through it currently without a single FTF or FTE issue and it knocks a hole in the paper where you aim it. Now I'm not going to go all crazy and say its better than my Custom Sig 226 or my CZ SP01 but is sure beats many other of my pistols and may be neck and neck with my Glock 19 gen 4. If this pistol retains its reliability over the next 1500 rounds I would be willing to say its the deal of the decade.
- Can't believe the performance for the price!! (review by Cameron on 2/4/2015)
The best trigger I have played with on a polymer pistol easily! Only ones to match them are the VP9 and PPQ. I will say that having compared the VP9 and TP9SA, the vp9's initial take-up on the trigger is better, but the break and the reset is better on the tp9sa. tp9 is also skinnier than the vp9 and at half the price. I have not compared with the ppq side by side. Accuracy on tp9sa is amazing, loaded chamber indicator, decocker works, sights are better than most with the extra center line on the rear sights (but not tritium obviously), good grip with interchangeable back-strap (I use the larger one), good grip, solid mags, and easier take down than glock. I would say the two issues I have with this firearm is the slide lock/release is way too flush with the gun and is hard to manipulate. Also, the reassembly is possible to mess up with the recoils spring/rod as you can place it two different areas and still assemble the gun. Other than those two flaws with the weapon system, I would say the biggest drawback is 3rd party support. It's a nightmare trying to get magazines for currently and the rail system does work with most (inforce light works), but not all (something retarded like the laserlyte pistol bayonet). Best thing I have found out is that XD and Glock holsters work with this guy as does the FNX45 holster. I tried a brand called LAG holsters and those were the ones that fit the tp9sa, but so did the Travis Hailey Incog from G-code so I would venture to say that most G17 holsters work with the Canik tp9sa as well as most compact or full size XD's. Really happy with the gun and it's the cheapest most effective on the market in my opinion.
- awesome handgun (review by Fast Eddie on 1/26/2015)
I ordered this pistol on Jan 3, 2015 because of all the Internet hype. I was skeptical at first but this gun has the best trigger I have ever shot on a pistol. Very accurate and reliable dead on accuracy. I have many firearms: Glocks, Sigs, FN, Beretta, and CZ but this handgun out shoots them all for half the price. All the reviews I read were true. Great quality and price, believe the hype. Awesome handgun worth at least twice the price its selling for.
