- Old time favorite even now (review by GJinNY on 1/2/2016)
The 336 is a timeless caliber and can take almost anything on our continent. I've had one for five years and anything within 150 yards is down and out. I love the stainless. Mine wears a Simmons 3-9x40mm silver scope. I hand load Hornady SST 160gr polymer tips over Rel15 and this rifle puts em where I aim em. Take an evening after a good cleaning and oiling and sit in front of the TV for a few hrs and work the action. You ll have the smoothest eject and re-chamber cowboy gun you ever have more fun with. And the walnut sure makes her pretty. The caliber is rarely out of supplies too!
