Reviews
    1. Good other than the mag dropping (review by JT on 5/11/2015)

Took it out to the range and the back of the magazine would drop out (not the front where the retaining clip is) a little bit. I contacted Savage after seeing other people having the issue online and they sent me a new one. Went back to the range, forgot the new mag, and got the rifle sighted in one manually fed round at a time. I am very pleased with what it can do at 100yds (longest range where we go).

Took it back out with the new and old mags and still had the same issue. After rocking it in, back first, and making sure the retainer engaged, I'd chamber a round, fire, eject the round and . . . nothing ends up in the chamber. Looking at the bottom of the rifle, the back end of the mag was sticking out a bit again. Giving it a push causes it to snap back into place and the bolt is able to grab the next round, but it happens every time it is fired.

I took a good look at it and how the new mag is supposed to be seated and will be giving it another try at the range to ensure it isn't user error before I call Savage again. Though I am not the only one to have experienced this, it doesn't seem to be terribly wide spread. Based on their response to my first call (the replacement mag showed up in ~2 days), I'm sure they'll be able to help me.
