Shipping and Returns
Once an order has been received, we make our best effort to process the order and send it to our warehouse as quickly as possible. All products on our website have a Shipping Expectation message which will tell you how quickly your item will ship. Fireams cannot ship until we have a valid copy of the license for the FFL you select during checkout. We have tens of thousands of FFL's on file which are listed in green on our FFL Locator. Selecting a FFL that we have on file will allow your firearm to ship quicker.
All firearms ship FREE via UPS. As explained in Ordering Firearms Online From CenterfireGuns, all firearms must be shipped to a valid holder of a FFL license. Once a firearm ships from our warehouse, it will take between 1 to 5 business days to arrive at your FFL.
Accessory purchases ship FREE with a $199 accessory purchase, orders under $199 ship at a flat $7.95 per order. Accessories ship either UPS, USPS, or FedEx.
A $3 extra weight surcharge will be added to all orders with ammunition products. Due to state restrictions, we do not ship ammunition to California, Massachusetts, or New York.
ALASKA & HAWAII
A $30 flat shipping surcharge will be applied to all shipments to Alaska or Hawaii.
With a few exceptions, CenterfireGuns will accept returned items for refund, exchange, or credit within 15 business days of receiving your order. Items must be in the condition you received them in the original factory packaging and we'll pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error. For ALL returns and exchanges, please initiate the return by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
FOR ALL FIREARMS: Once the FFL dealer transfers your firearm to you, the firearm is considered "used" and we will not accept returns. If there is a problem with the firearm, DO NOT COMPLETE THE TRANSFER and please call us immediately!
IF THERE'S A PROBLEM WITH THE ITEM
If we shipped you the wrong item, if the item is defective, or the item you received was not what was advertised on our web site, we will correct the problem at our expense. Once we receive the item we will either process your refund or exchange it for the correct item and send it back either to you or to your FFL.
If the item is a firearm and you have transfered the firearm, we cannot take a return. We are happy to assist you in the warranty repair process with the manufacturer as they are the only entity that can assist in warranty issues.
IF YOU CHANGE YOUR MIND
After delivery, if you decide that you do not want the item, we will accept a return and issue you an exchange or store credit after a 20% restocking fee. Since the item you received was not as a result of our error, you will be responsible for return shipping costs.
IF YOU FAIL THE NICS BACKGROUND CHECK
If the background check provides information that causes your firearm transfer to be denied, we would encourage you to work with your State law enforcement to determine why your background check failed and correct your records. If, however, your record cannot be cleared, we will have your FFL return the firearm back to us. Once we receive the firearm, we will issue a refund after assessing a 20% restocking fee. Since the item you received was not as a result of our error, you will be responsible for return shipping costs.
IF YOU CANNOT PASS THE CALIFORNIA HANDGUN SAFETY CHECK
California requires a Handgun Safety Certificate (HSC) to transfer a handgun. If you do not have a HSC, you must pass the Safety Check to obtain a HSC. If, you cannot obtain a HSC, you may ship the handgun back to us, once we receive the firearm, we will issue a refund after assessing a 20% restocking fee. Since the item you received was not as a result of our error, you will be responsible for return shipping costs.
AMMO and AIR GUNS
Unless we sent you the wrong item, all sales are final on ammo and air guns.
