    1. My new favorite pistol (review by David on 10/6/2015)

I've shot several brands, in several calibers, and I've found Sig to be my favorite. I prefer single/doubles over DOA or SOA always. DOA has a difficult trigger to master, and I can't get on board with a cock and lock SOA. I own a 1911, Sig 226 with tacops grip and SRT trigger (.40), Sig 2022 (9mm), and now a Sig 227. The 226 was my go to pistol of choice until I shot the 227. It shoots like a Sig, but I manage to get better groups with the 227s .45 caliber (1.5-2.5" at 10 yards). The trigger feels lighter than my 226, and the recoil of the 45 seems equal to the 226s .40. The beaver tail isn't as pronounced as on the 226 elite, the dimensions are the same, and the weight when loaded are about the same as well. I took out all 3 Sigs and the 1911 the day after I received it, and the 227 took the cake! Obviously a 1911 is the king of triggers, but the 226/227 are very close. If I could only keep one it'd be the 227. I firmly believe the 226/227 are built for "controlled pair" shooting, as the accuracy of the follow up shot it generally as accurate as single shots. CenterfireGuns has OUTSTANDING prices, and fast free shipping. Great company, great weapon, and great manufacturer! It's too bad the 227 wasn't out then I got the 226.
