Details
At 5" tall with a barrel length of just under 4", the Compact model shaves a little more than 3/4" off the length and about 1/2" off the height of the full-size CZ 75. Its reduced size allows it to readily disappear under regular clothing. The CZ 75 DA/SA action with a manual safety lever provides the user with two options for carry: hammer-back with the safety on for single action operation or manually decocked for a double action first shot with no need to remember to take off the safety before firing. There is a safety stop on the hammer as well as a firing pin block safety. The 75 Compact retains the steel frame of the original 75, only 2.4 oz of weight is lost, making it the softest-shooting compact in the CZ 75 line.

frame slot for slide stop spring quality assurance need
Rating
Is an awesome pistol, but a small fix is needed on the frame slot made for the slide stop spring, is not a design issue, is a manufacturing issue. It happened on two units (only on the all-steel pistol, the PCR model doesn't have this problem, alloy frame).

The slot where the slide stop spring rides is not properly de-burred on the interior side, which is the side where the spring leans against when disassembling the pistol, which makes it very hard to push out the slide stop, to the point of making you believe you are not following the right instructions to disassemble the gun. Additionally, something that can add to this issue is that the spring force is stronger if the slide stop pin is slightly off the indentation on the pin for the spring to rest (This happened on one unit only). The fix very simple, just de-burring the interior side of the channel, you will clearly see enough of a burr. I removed it with a blade like the ones used to remove old registration stickers from a windshield. Now... if when you disassemble the pistol, it is easy, it means that your unit doesn't need the removal of the burr I described above. This is the reason why I selected 4 stars, but would give it a 4.5 if I could have half a star. Meaning, is a simple fix, but quality assurance in the factory should be doing that for us. My two cents. Don't let this discourage you, is an awesome pistol.
