Good leather single-stack double-mag carrier, snaps a little difficult
Rating
tTpical of galco, this is made with a quality thick leather. it is deeply dyed so that scratches wont show up as white. as with all galco leather goods, it will be too tight when you receive it, and require time and effort to stretch the leather to provide your desired level of tightness/retention. Wide (and thicker) belts can be snapped on, thinner belts get laced through the openings on the carrier. The snaps can be very difficult to close, so it's *far* easier to attach the carrier to your belt before putting your pants on. As with all Galco, you pay a premium for the name. Took a star off for the price. (Not a reflection on Centerfire, they are terrific)

for fitting, the instructions say to use two plastic bags, but my method is to wrap the magazine in a single sheet of paper towel (which is slightly thicker than a second bag) then to put it into a plastic sandwich bag, then insert it into the holder/carrier, then twist it back and forth a few times, let it sit for ~5-15 min, then remove the mag, then repeat until it is tight enough to retain the mag but loose enough to be able to draw the mag fairly easily. galco sells an insanely overpriced 'holster care kit' which contains a water-based lube (called 'Draw-EZ') to apply to the inside of the carrier, and leather conditioner for the outside. I'll leave it up to you whether you choose to use their product, or you decide to search the internet, or your home goodie drawer for 'water based lube' and use that instead.
