- Weapon Worth the Price

Generally, the weapon is great. Blued & with rubber grip, powerful, good manufacture, easy handling. Chose the 4" barrel because anything shorter would negate the .357 power. Can't say I'm thrilled at the lack of easy-access manual safety. But overall, this is good personal defense for the cost. Centerfire shipped this the next day after my order and it arrived at the FFL here in Vermont in 2 days. Can't beat that, either. (Posted on 8/15/2016)Rating - Great Gun Great Buy

Kudos to CenterfireGuns as this revolver shipped FAST! I had ordered the gun and it arrived at my FFL 25 hours after I had ordered it. The revolver itself is a nice piece. I put 76 rounds through it 12/09/15 and it performed very well. Quite accurate as long as I held the gun steady and did not flinch while pulling the trigger. I put 26 rounds of CCI Blazer Brass 158gr JHP through it (aluminum casings)as well as 50rds of PMC 158gr JSP (brass casings) through it. There was only one hiccup at one point when i was slowly squeezing the trigger and the trigger seemed to be "stuck", but when i added a little more oomph to pulling the trigger it snapped out of it and fired. I did hear that someone else had a similar issue with the trigger being a bit "sticky" at first, but the issue was said to have cleared up after a small break in period. Trigger seemed fine after that. Great gun though for the price ($379) and this gun is basically the same as the Smith & Wesson Model 65 as Taurus uses the same parts because they both were once under the same parent company. Many Smith & Wesson revolvers were designed by Taurus people and for around $300 cheaper than the more polished S&W 65 this gun is a great buy! (Posted on 12/12/2015)Rating
